The use of this unit alongside the Arbites Melee Combat Squad during the earlier stages of the game can prove to be a solid force to start with and a powerful support as well during the late stages of the game.Ĭommander units cannot be attach to the squad but they still benefit from passive and active skills from other units, also the advanced research that grant the squad additional bonuses and weapon upgrades are restricted to the Inquisition Branch of the Witch Hunters, to access these upgrades the Ordo Hereticus Chamber, available at Tier 2 of the faction, must be built beforehand to gain these benefits. The Arbites Fire Support Squad are the basic ranged unit of the Witch Hunters, they serve as the first ranged attack unit available, effective initially against infantry they excel in providing ranged support, they are produced in the Arbites Local Headquarters (Main HQ) when produced they are equipped with a combat shotgun that disrupts enemy infantry at close to medium range inflicting morale damage, their default weapon can be upgraded to bolters or smoke grenade launchers and other types of weaponry that increases the overall effectiveness and tactical value of the squad and with additional research the unit can become more effective against most types of infantry and buildings.
